Dedicated to nature, landscape, and rural living this category showcases films that explore the relationship between people and the natural world. Entries often offer breathtaking visuals and inspire reflections on place and sustainability.

9. Animation

Open to all forms of animation—2D, 3D, stop-motion or mixed media, this category celebrates visual creativity and imaginative storytelling. Animated films may range from playful shorts to emotionally rich narratives. Filmmakers are free to explore fantastical worlds, abstract ideas or heartfelt stories.

10. Children’s Filmmaker Category The Children’s Filmmaker category celebrates films created by young creators and gives them a platform to express their imagination and storytelling skills. There will be two age groups: one for children up to 12 years old and another for young filmmakers aged 13 to 18. Entries may be made individually or as part of a school or youth project. The focus is on creativity, enthusiasm and fresh ideas rather than technical perfection. This category encourages young filmmakers to explore the craft of filmmaking and share their unique voices with the community.

11. Senior Entries Category
    The Senior Entries category celebrates films created by older adults, offering a platform for stories and perspectives shaped by experience and life insight. The focus is on expression, authenticity, and the unique voices of senior filmmakers rather than technical polish. 12. Horror / Science Fiction Category

The Horror and Science Fiction category showcases films that explore the thrilling, imaginative and otherworldly sides of storytelling. Entries may range from eerie supernatural tales to futuristic adventures, dystopian worlds, or mind-bending concepts. Filmmakers are encouraged to use atmosphere, tension, and creativity to captivate and surprise audiences. This category celebrates the power of imagination in its most exciting forms.

13. Open Category

Designed for films that don’t fit neatly into other categories, the ‘Open’ category embraces innovation and individuality. It allows filmmakers to submit original works across any genre or theme. Entries may be experimental, hybrid or simply unique creations. Whether artistic, experimental or dramatic the ‘Open’ category encourages unique voices and creative freedom.
